To couchsurf or not to couchsurf?

That is the really silly question...

Why should you choose to know a country through couchsurfing? What is couchsurfing?

It is a cultural exchange experience that goes beyond the tourist approach and lets you visit the country outside the hotels and hostels.

It means contacting people that are from the country, staying in their homes and letting them show you their culture through their way of hosting you. Who knows the country beter than those in it?

Visiting a country without knowing the people is like having an empty image, based on the skeleton, but not the flesh and spirit of the place.

So contact us and tell us what you want to see and when, and we'll make it happen!

How to visit Romania for free

This part of our blog is dedicated to helping foreign students to come visit Romania, whether they want to come here on Erasmus or not.

Are you curious about our country?

Do you want to travel and visit the world but want to keep your budget low?

Would you consider Romania as a possibility for Erasmus but want to "investigate" first?

We offer you our desire to share our culture with you and we invite you to come visit and stay at our places , for free! You've got no excuse now to leave this part of the world unknown to you!

What you need to do is first write us an email at erasmus.in.romania@gmail.com and let us know in what period you would like to come visit (including details such as: what you would like to see, what city you would like to live in, how many people you'll be travelling with) and then we'll spread the word to our friends and networks and find you a suitable host!

If you live in Romania, have an extra bed and an extra bit of time to show people from all around the world about your country...

if you have been an Erasmus student and want to help out other future Erasmus students...or if you are simply keen on sharing Romania with the world---
